Our lovely 1850’s Victorian home is located in the country side of beautiful Yates County. We sit on a hill less than two miles north of the delightful village of Penn Yan New York.

The quaint village offers a variety of churches, plenty of shopping, a full library and many nice restaurants, as well as hometown diners, a movie theater and banks. You’ll always find things to do. Penn Yan offers many community events through out the year, festivals, a county fair, and lots more.

You may just like to be at home enjoying our lovely yard with the picturesque views. In the spring watch the tulips and lilacs bloom. In the summer join in on a game of cards and good conversation. In the fall we’ll reap the bounties from the garden or you can watch the orchard grow. Don’t forget our two loving k-9’s. They always enjoy having most of the attention.

Accomodations

We provide attractive single and double rooms of all sizes. Each one has its own cozy style. You can bring your own furnishings or use ours. Sheets, bedding and towels provided. In our home your bedroom is not the only place to be. There are many rooms in our big home you can be. How about the big comfy living-room to sit and enjoy your favorite book or TV program. If you like TV try our up stairs TV room with a frig, and recliners. So relaxing you won’t want to leave.

To accommodate our smoking guests, we provide a screened in smoking porch, (no smoking anywhere in the home), with yet another TV. In our big country home there is plenty of space for everyone.

 

Home cooked meals are the best

Don't forget about the great home cooked meals. Our meals are served in the bright old-time dinning room with plenty of elbow room for all. From breakfast to dinner you can only expect the best. We always end Sundays with a special desert, Nobody goes hungry at the Grizzly Rose.

Although we don't have 24/7 supervision, there is always some one at the Grizzly Rose over night.

We are availible to come and visit with perspective boarders and strive to work with our boarder's families.

All our boarders must be able to manage their own medications and personal spending money. We do offer in home organizational support for daily routines and activities. Just to remember, all our guests are respectable, well mannered, responsible, and fun loving. IF YOU AREN'T YOU NEED NOT APPLY.
